Re: off road tear drop trailer build

I have been planning this for a while now and do not have a job, but recently came into some $ and am itching to get started. the first issue I have run into is the trailer will most likely be under 1,500lbs and the only way I can buy a pre made axle with 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern, is to buy a 3,500lb ...

I have to get a ram and build a cart for my new bender still before I can use it.

3" overkill for a turbo 4 banger. :P

I'd do 2.5" possibly.

My friend went to American and they ran the exhaust real close to some wires and ended up melting them on startup.

Kinda both faults. I would have checked that but besides that think he was happy with then.

I'll have to have someone run some on my Sami as it'll be 3" probably.

Yes I am. It depends on how much cash i feel like dropping at the given time for parts. Changes the whole plan. I know what i got in my head but as the build goes on things are going to alter.

4 air shocks and 2 sway bars do the exact same thing for half the cost. Ori's are all about packaging on moon buggies period. Stop trying to keep up with rockmike, he has more tools and far more money than you. Are you going to buy the shocks over a 3 month period and have no money for anything els...

Re: Project big money

Went to do a 3 link/motor swap and kept tearing stuff off til I realized its now a buggy build. Front clip, rear radiused fender wells (leave a sami look to it) Make up your mind are you using the.front clip on a buggy build or putting the body back on? Well at least you'll get the overbuilt boring crap out of the way while your young enough to have plenty of time to build something exactly like you had before you wasted your time tearing it apart. Personally I'd stick with the plan but put the body back on. Body is going on, just going to c...

I second what OG said - I can appreciate the time/effort it takes to build a rig. That said, my question for you would be why? I mean, if you can't afford to build it, why are you doing it? There isn't anywhere around these parts that requires a rig with that sort of hardware, and if you can't affo...
