Jim, I could probably round up some conveyor belt material.

I saw some thicker (~1/4") stuff that looked a foot wide or so. Kinda rough/canvas type stuff, reddish. There is some thinner, black, rubbery stuff up there too.

Get more specific and I'll see what I can dig up?

I want them for towing when the soft doors are on. Thanks for the offer, but I want the ones that fit the brackets I have. To be honest, from what I have heard (web-wheeling) you can't even see the passenger side one with this set up, but I'd like to find out. I have those mirrors on my YJ. For wha...

I already got my phone issue fixed today. The grand total to replace my cell phone that was claimed by RimRock was $0. :D On up to the steep climbs and switchbacks in the tight trees. The climbs were loose. I'm sure that those with the appropriate switches, switched them ON to make it up. If ...

Well, hook me up with a drawing or dimensions or something and I'll see what I can do.

I could have a bracket waiting for you in West Richland after 6pm tonight.

Yep.. got the drivers side before lunch, and the passenger side after lunch :D I'm not worried about it. Cherry is broke. Now I don't have to worry about damaging it! :D The softop frame tubes just need to be bent back. After I do that it won't look nearly as bad. The windshield frame is fine, its j...

YJ Dave here. First off, thanks for the great trip guys. It really means a lot to me, and to allow my son the chance to experience these things... couldn't have done it without the group. Secondly, it had been 2 years for me since I drove my Jeep anywhere other than mall, and it showed! Sorry for ho...

How about that dumb a$$ in the green YJ that couldn't remember which switch operated the front locker vs the rear. Oh wait, that was me. Thanks for the great day Toby/Jim. Sorry about cutting in behind you as you were reversing in that drifted meadow area Jim. I thought you were done... I've now lea...

For what it's worth, I swapped an AW4 into my YJ. What originally got me started was the fact that my TF999 was so friggin wide, it made it virtually impossible to get a front drive shaft up to my Early Bronco 44. It didn't take much to convince me to do the swap, because as an XJ guy originally, I ...

The springs are all Rubicon Express. They were the ones that are meant for a spring over, and I think they are 4.5" ... which was way too much. I had to remove a leaf, rebuild the mounts, and work the crap out of them to get my Jeep down to the right level. The tires are 37" X 14.5" T...

Are you the one I talked to about the axle straps Dave? For some reason I was thinking the motor home I passed was different than the one I parked next to. It was a long day :D

Thanks for the pics!

I had a great time. Big thanks to Toby and Jim. Jim suprised the hell outta me in that XJ. That guy knows how to wheel. Not sure who it was that I passed on the freeway heading home Sunday night just after Yakima... Nicely built Jeep and a motor home. Just wanted to give a virtual wave now because m...

94 XJ will have a 23 spline output. 23 spline AW4's are only found in 1990 and up XJ's. Not sure about other rigs. Just make sure the new AW4 is 23 spline. 1997 and up XJ's are wired a bit differently, but they may work if you swap nothing but the tranny itself. Not positive about that one. Any tran...

David in the Green YJ here. Thanks for the awesome time guys, and also thanks for teaching me that in deep snow, 5 psi in the tires with a setup like mine is still too much. Here's a few pics I took. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc257/david448/Naches_11-10/IMG_2054.jpg http://i216.photobucket....

New to the TriCities

Hey guys, David here. We moved down from Moses Hole a month or so ago. I've wheeled with some of you guys in the past, and also just this last weekend. I've known Toby W., and Ed in Hermiston for years. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Anyway, nice forum and good group of guys you have go...
