PEAK PUTTERS

4TH OF JULY Run Liberty Thursday Jeeperchicks minus Mom, arrived, claimed a water access camp site leveled up and set up. IMG_0959.JPEG We took the Jeep out exploring a trail that was kinda on the map. Drove it until we found the washout. IMG_0024.JPEG Friday the 5th, I headed out early solo and did...

Did you know you can wash these? No laundry tag, so I did not know proper care.

Jeeperchicks and I made camp midafternoon July 2nd. Set up QTH, repaired the fridge, suffered without AC, and ate the traditional 1st night dinner of cold KFC. Williams Creek campground was relatively empty, with some campers leaving on Wednesday. IMG_2225.JPEG To escape the heat, we went on the 1st...

Not ready, working late New Years Eve, so in.

Yeah, I can make a Tuesday.

Grocery store run.

Little surpised in AZ, mileage, that clean it isn't going for more.

Can you see all the mods?
(Alternate caption... for what I paid you think they would wash it.)

Tuesday it was time for the parade! IMG_0358.JPEG IMG_0357.JPEG IMG_0359.JPEG IMG_0360.JPEG Two of the nights, we played HAM radio in camp, experimenting with different antennas. Had a nice conversation (QSO) with a HAM radio operator in Australia from the picnic table... plus Alaska, California, Rh...

Monday, the remaining Putters headed off for a Over Lander mainstay, driven by Rob's (Lud) recent Facebook posted picture, Beehive reservoir. Promising those whose definition of adventure is slightly different than those of us that consider ourselves hardcore we promised a 4 hourish roundtrip on gra...

Libert 4th o' July is in the books. I think this works as a rollcall. IMG_0323.JPEG From front: Lee no family in pic, but with Chris, Millie, and Jay for the weekend, LJ Todd, arrived Saturday and wheeled Sunday, TJ Casey and Sheila, arrived Saturday and wheeled through Monday, JKU Jose, Sveta, and ...

22hrs since arriving back home... Body is destroyed, brain has crashed, already trying to make notes for next year! Completely different conditions this year. Organizing staff committed this may have been the harshest conditions EVER! Below freezing, high winds, SNOW! Great work! Sorry I missed it....

I put it on my calendar.

More story added to original post. Videos will be up on the Facebook. Out of pics.

Great idea! Wonder if I can still get them in chrome???

The chrome ones only come in doubles.

I like my Rusty's ZJ stylish steering linkage.

Screenshot_20211014-060545_Google.jpg This is the solar flare activity graph for the next few years. The higher the flares the more "skip" activity on CB. UHF GMRS isn't affected by this activity, so it will remain clear through these cycles. only if it made sense. The fun thing a...

Well, it was dusty. The only switch that used in my Jeep more than the locker switch was the windshield washer. Would have used the winch switch more, but the winch was toast by about halfway. I think some smoke would have been let out, but, you know, fire ban. Lockers on for hill climbs (monsters),...

Well, the Peak Putters' 4th of July Liberty 2021 is in the books. I think the roll call filled in, Jose, Sveta and Isabel pulled into Williams Creek holding spots for the rest Thursday PM. Steve and Dolly picked another prime spot by the creek Friday AM. Friday PM yours truly (Lee) and Chris, Millie...

I am obviously saddened by this news, but it makes me reflect how much this club has meant to me and thank God for Larry's legacy as Peak Putter number 1.

Perfect trails?

Work made it un-possible for me to go on today's snow run :( , but because I was stuck in town I did get to go on a Fox Hunt :) . To answer your questions... A. Thread is called monitoring HAM radio? If you had been monitoring the right frequency you might have hear some weird tones followed by some...

Special treat... Saturday you can hear yours truly in his full on nerdom, hosting said social net. Listen in and know that, yes, we are all this cool.
