Finally! I got my new tires in and on. Can't wait to give them a try. 8) First set of new tires I have had in a really long time. http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/9206/wheelin039ug1.jpg http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/8052/wheelin041hi0.jpg http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/9422/wheelin042gw6....

Thanks. I think I'm happy with it. If you want coilovers instead of airshocks, there are good deals to be had on dezertrangers.com, just have to watch for them. I picked these up for the front for 300+ shipping, then 240 for 4 coilsprings because none of the springs they came with would work for wha...

Thanks, I'm happy with how it turned out. 8) Drove it tonight, everything seems good to go. Still need to wire the efan, put the winch back on, wire the incab winch controls, and adjust the dual rate sliders up on the shocks. It's probly going to sit 2" lower than before, which is fine by me.

Back on the ground! 8) Looks like it lost an inch or so in ride height. Should have 6-7" of bump travel from where it's pictured. The full hydro is better than I thought it could be. It turns the 44s aired down on the concrete floor just as easy as the ram turned disconnected. :D http://img139....

Assembly pics from this weekend. Going well. Tie rods made, limiting strap brackets on, coolant topped off, steering bled and working great. http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/7960/picture002ll5.jpg http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/5021/picture004au4.jpg http://img377.imageshack.us/img377/8117/pic...

Well I haven't had any big chunks of weekend to work on the jeep so progress has been slow. Most of the heavy fab is done. Just need to setup limiting straps for the coilovers and build tie rods for the ram to the knuckles. I got anxious and hung the coilovers last week. Pulled the grill to finish p...

Haha, yeah I took a couple weeks off. Went to Hawaii, it was nice. 8) I put a few hours in this weekend. Finished up patching the motor mount, gutted the grill some more to fit the radiator. The OBA was the latest feature to get the cut in order to fit my crazy up travel plans. Even the new smaller ...

I wouldn't bet against ya. I've heard(maybe from you?) that they use interco molds.

The 39 rockers look like the 39 bogger carcass for sure.

Does anyone know of the HP and TQ specs on the chrysler 2.8 diesel? I may have to look them up I guess. :D

Don't worry Steve, I'd only run nice smelling biodiesel on the trail. 8)

Edit to add: In the liberty, 160 hp 295 tq. Fuel economy of 22 miles city and 27 miles highway.

Clutch slave situation is solved. Took half an hour and made a bracket out of 1/4" flat stock. Getting pretty close to suspending it now. Just need those 14" shocks to show up. 8)

Well hell. I went and laid in the mud at the junkyard tonight staring at the tiny little XJ driveline. It then occured to me, that all I have to do is make a little plate bracket to rotate the stupid slave cylinder. I just checked it out, and yep, that'll do. I'll have to bleed it out of position, t...

I would think about putting down a couple more passes on each side of the D ring mount. Not that they look like they need it, just that it would be very exciting if they came off there during use.

But I tend to overweld

Nice. I remember seeing that on Porter's rig, but I had forgotten all about it. I'm going to try and build one out of the old small diameter XJ front shafts. Going junkyard diving tonight, hopefully. If that doesn't work I'll get ahold of S&N. I wonder what they do to convert the d44 ujoints to ...

No pics from this weekend. I got to redo a bunch of work though... I've been keeping an eye out for some 14" shocks. 16s are just too much shock for the front. Fully collapsed they are 24", and it's hard to get much bump travel and keep them under the hood. Found a good deal last week, guy...

I'm planning on mounting it to the radiator mounts I haven't built yet. :D The race Al radiators are a bit of a trick to mount since they don't have any brackets on them at all. Have to make buckets under the tanks on the side, and a clamp on the sides or top. I'm thinking sides right now. Hope to m...
