Re: New shop in town?

It is pretty cool! It will be nice to have a place in town that you can actually get stuff at the last minute.
I bought some door straps.

Re: Darland Mountain

Either one of those would be a good choice for a stock JK but I wouldn't go it alone if you have never been up there before. There are a few tight sections, some roots and a few rocky hills on those trails. Nice area though.

Bigfoot Hunting before the BTH Run 6/4/2016

Spoiler Alert. . .No Bigfoot pelt!! I did manage to do a little "vehicle based adventure travel" before meeting up with the lads for the Beat the Heat Run. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Ax7bAdij4WQ/V1UHxoGe_aI/AAAAAAAAY_g/vPUFb8fVd703RKa6vf7rd9koaCvhYOWdACCo/s800/20160604_190211.jpg F...

Re: Chuck needed tire rotation

Full size spare. Modified stock mount. Still needs snubber spacers but the gods of the whirledwhidewebb say that the secret to making this work is having the tire sit on top of the bumper to take the stress off of the hinges.

Re: Yard Sale Stuff.

I didn't leave it on all night. . .just warmed things up before bed and then again in the AM. . .I think I'd be OK with the noise but it would be ideal with a longer input hose. It worked really, really well in the RTT. perfect, glad it's working for you. :thu2: Me too. . .it is pretty darn cool!!

Ok. New speedo gear in. Best $24 mod ever. Having the shift points in the right spots is priceless. If you have an automatic TJ and your speedo is wrong....do this now.

Re: Chuck needed tire rotation

5.13s and rear Detroit Locker are in. Lurch did the set up and found a bunch of other stuff that needed attention. Rear brakes, axle seals, etc. All is squared away! It is really nice not to have to push that OD button every time I leave the house. I'm also installing a new speedo gear this week to ...

Hook it up!
For those that find this post googling, your winch drum will heat up synthetic rope if you power out unless you have a winch like Lud's. It is like driving with your parking brake on.
