Buick 225 transmission swap suggestions

I'm helping a neighbor sort out a good swap for the Buick 225 in his CJ-5. The T-98 is toast. How tough is an SM420 with the dana 18 transf?

I didn't get to see what the parts truck was that you bought, but if you happen to end up with an extra J truck steering box, I'll buy it from you

Danielle,

I've got 8ish bales of grass hay that can go. I can help haul a load of stuff up there this weekend with the trailer too. Let me know.

I'm interested in panning around here too. Haven't looked too hard into it, but have a pan! I was figuring on bringing it on whatever wheeling trips we do this year. From the reading I did do, I got kind of lost in the rules around permits and mineral writes even for recreational panning. If you get...

Hmm ... I went through the Tumwater school district, graduated in 1999, and was very well educated on WWII and all other American History. Tumwater, of all areas on the west side, is fairly conservative. So, lets not generalize in our quick conclusions ... I do agree, our children should know our na...

Superduty Trans Suggestions

Well, the transmission in my superduty is on its last legs. Slipping if I push it in 2nd and the fluid is burned up. For those who don't know, its a 2002 F250, 7.3 Diesel with a 4R100 auto. What are your suggestions? I'm not interested in spending $4500 on a BTS trans. It's not a race truck and I do...

I've done it a way to make the check engine light flash. All you have to do is jumper across a couple of the slots on the EEC test port plug ... or ... I've got an EEC scanner in the glovebox of the tbird ... its a required piece of equipment with that car ... I'll throw it in the truck for the next...

I'm guessing it was rebuilt with the wrong input shaft bearing. The t18 can have either a 20mm or 23mm ... you get the wrong size and it won't stay in 4th.

Any ideas why a freshly rebuilt T18 won't stay in gear? It pops out of 4th on deceleration.

The jeep is on the verge of being sold or parted.
