re:

Yes the old diode type isolators would rob voltage and never really worked right. I chose a newer style "solid state" isolator. The NOCO 140 Amp High-Performance Battery Isolator is a solid-state (not diode) electrical device that eliminates multiple battery drain, prolongs battery life an...

Thanks mods!

I used a similar switch, same basic idea just slightly more visually appealing and rated for 700 amps. The Blue Sea 6007200 http://imageshack.com/a/img13/7404/7v92.jpg Billavista kept his setup very simple and decided not to use an isolator for the simple fact that its just something else that can p...

Dual Battery Setup

Im sure this is a popular idea but havent seen too much on here about it. I'm putting this here so peak putters dont have to go searching for the info on other boards. I am coming to a close on my 83 Toyota's build and decided dual batteries is worth the extra expense. I know there will be a long ha...

Wanted: Toyota first gen doors, fenders, and windshied.

Like the title says, I am in need of a set of first Gen Toyota doors and fenders and also a first Gen windshield. I have doors and fenders already, I just want a set of fenders I can chop since mine are completely straight. I'd like a set of doors to make half doors. I want to keep a set of full doo...

Toyota Wrangler

I was talking to Roman earlier today about this specific picture. Its a wrangler grill on a 3rd gen Toyota. I was joking around saying "well if I am going to try to be in a jeep club..." https://scontent-b-sjc.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/954855_755069531185285_1269988772_n.jpg

Sorry for the fat thumbs. Its an 85 axle. Its got full width trusses. Trust me...the round u-bolts don't like the square lower full length truss. The pinion flange matches the late Toyota pattern. Its got ifs hubs and rotors too. Thanks for calling me out though. You just earned 1" cool point&q...

You did a super clean job with the rear chop. Ive painted 2 cars with rustoleum red. I found out sun on a warm day will really speed up the dry time. Did you only use primer and color? We used self etching primer, rusto red, and them rusto clear. Look super professional. Also glad to see another yot...

Re-intro post military

Just wanted to introduce myself again. I just moved back to kennewick after a 5 year tour in the navy. I joined the navy in August of 2008 and was stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. I was an AD-2 (E-5 jet mechanic). Looking at RN programs right now I used to be into Jeeps and had a xj bu...
