This sounds almost too good to be true...I am under the impression that there is a healthy markup on tires. Which store in Tri-Cities should I go to to find 285/75/16 in a AT -- Nov. 16 is a Sunday?

Jimmy, if the ground is mostly sand, it won't freeze worth beans. It just drys out and then gets soft once you break the thin crust. Moist sand is better traction.

I assume that you were under a serious time constrant. A bunch of us were at Long Meadow all weekend participating in the litter patrol. Too bad you could not hook up with us for the Sat. potluck.

Toby, It has been awhile since I have gone that route from Rider's Camp (Manashtash). I recall that the trail head was well marked. The trail was pretty easy up to Tri-Pod and down to Milk Lake.

Hell, I have a Wild Country 32-12.50-15 on a rusty chrome rim (6 hole) that I will give you. The tire has 1/4" tread. It was my spare until recently.

Kind of funny, there is a picture of Rich and I trying to push Curtis off a tree. However, his wheels were turned into the tree. No wonder we sucked

Kudos to you guys... in addition to protecting a public resource, you have saved many wheel berings, diff. fluid, and a few brake jobs.

Peak Putters - Rimrock, Sept 2008

Curtis called a "Camp out of your rig" run to the Rimrock area during the Labor Day weekend. Inspite of the crummy weather forecast, it was sunny and pleasent. The temperature did drop below freezing at night. http://www.peakputters.com/forum/userpix/14_Liberty_On_July_4_2008_003_1.jpg Rob...

Strange... You use to be able to find the Yakima County/Naches Forest map on line. Your best bet is to contact the Forest Service's Naches District Office and have one Shipped.

Don't worry, your springs should flex just fine after a few dozen hard runs :P

If bump steer is an issue, you may want a pitman arm with a bit more drop if you can fit it. Also consider a support bracket for the power steering box.

death wabble on stock TJ

Reports of TJs developing a death wobble are popping up on the web. My little sister is now experiencing the death wobble on her 2004 stock TJ with 50K miles on it. The story is the same...45 to 50 mph, hit a small bump in the road, and the death wobble appears. What I could gather from the various ...

That cannon (S&W 460) really did not kick due to the fluting in the barrel. However, you are surprised by the huge pressure wave across your upper torso as the gases are directed back at you. Its similar to standing near a M-80 with earplugs.
