JK Front Bumper Build

With regard to bumpers, I am a minimalist. More is better... I despise just about every manufactured front bumper for the JK's on the market, not to mention the gross price tag attached to them  So, out came the plasma cutter, drill press, and welder 8) I started with the winch plate from my o...

Since it's a 350 Chev, I will assume you've got a TH-350 automatic behind it? If so, just find a factory adapter from a 700R4 - NP241C from a fullsize Chevy or GMC pickup. It will bolt up to the 4-bolt flange on the output of the TH-350 transmission, and all but (1) hole will line up perfectly with ...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe the Manastash trails (String, Tripod, etc) ever "close" for the winter months. They do groom the main road once you get a little beyond Ryders Camp, so that area of the Manastash does indeed close off to vehicles, but the main entrance t...

OK, since no one likes to read, I’ll just give you the quick and dirty version along with the all-important pictures  Bear in mind I am not done with the installation yet, as I’m still waiting on the Currie pitman arm to arrive… Once it does, I can button up the front end and take it for ...

Monster Truck Show

Took the boy to TRAC on Saturday afternoon to check out the monster trucks... He has just about every Hot Wheels monster truck made, and one of his favorites happens to be the Bounty Hunter, who was the big name at this event. We had a BLAST!! Here is his favorite Hot Wheels: http://i264.photobucket...

I need shock bushing sleeves...

I need (6) of the metal sleeves that go inside shock bushings... If you have an old set of aftermarket shocks laying around and want to get rid of them, please let me know. The one's I am specifically after are for a 1/2" diameter shock mounting bolt, which is pretty standard.

From the outside, it's hard to come up with anything I hate more... They are disgusting to look at :? On the inside, however, it is the polar opposite. The interior space is fantastic, the layout is great, the materials are fine for my needs (it's not a luxury machine), and overall I really would no...

I'll get you a measurement later this morning, but bear in mind you have asked a very loaded question... The variation in actual diameter of all the 35's out there are the market is staggering, even so between different tread patterns from the same manufacturer (BFG A/T vs. a BFG M/T for example). I...

I love the modified JK Unlimiteds. To be honest, I'm still on the fence visually... There are two things that are hard to deny regarding the JK-U's: they are BIG and they are UGLY . That said, it's tough to beat the utility aspect for our particular situation, so I'm willing to overlook the, well, ...
