Is the synthetic rope really worth it?

Do they even last as long as cable?

What ever winch you buy you should see 4wheelingplus.com first. Here was one of his great deal ads: http://www.aworc.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=8576 Prices are lower than posted. A lot of time you can get free shipping. Wow, thanks!! I like that fact that he is fairly local, and the price p...

New Years Day run?

Anyone else have New Years Day off? Anyone planning any runs?

The local motorcycle crowd is planning a short run if the weather is good, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Inexpensive winch recommendations

Hey guys, I think a winch would be a good idea on the Cheep. Anyone have any experience with the ones from Harbor Freight? I would like to keep the cost as low as possible. Keep in mind, this is for my Cherokee, which is a pretty light rig. I dont need something that will pull a semi sideways on dry...

Honestly, I think it had more to do with the road grime I was getting all over his windshield while he was following me. I dont think he was "looking" for mudflap violators.

I got a hold of an old motorhome full-width flap that I'll install soon.

Mudflap violation-Pasco

Got pulled over today and had a verbal warning about the lack of mudflaps on the Cherokee. Thanks to the gracious Pasco policeman for not writing me a ticket!

For those that dont know, mudflaps must extend at least to the axle centerline to be legal.

Time for more upgrades...

I've had a built XJ, and so has ersll... No doubt they ride great and put up with quite a bit. That said, trust me when I tell you that addressing those control arm angles will dramatically improve your ride quality. However good it seems now, it will make your jaw drop once you get the frontend se...

Jeep looks pretty good but...... Ummm, wow... Do you have any droop travel up front? Might want to address those control arm angles and then comment on the improvement? I have to agree. Your front suspension scares me a bit. 5.5" spacers doesn't really seem like a good idea. Do you have any pi...

Ummm, wow... Do you have any droop travel up front? Might want to address those control arm angles and then comment on the improvement? Go for a ride in it some time and see for yourself. :D The control arm angles are deceiving, kind of like a gull-arm swingarm on a motorcycle. The actual angle bet...

Pics updated in original post. So, now it's painted charcoal grey metallic, with quite a bit of green pearl and other various colors mixed in (mutt color, left over paint). I also tore into the rear springs tonight and added another leaf. She really needed a little more lift in the rear and a stiffe...

Wow, thats alot of work! When I first got my Cherokee, I surgically removed all the emissions stuff from the wiring harness. I had everything under the hood looking very similar to your pic! If you want to do the inside without too much work, you can coat it in Kent's Rubber Guard. Spray on with a r...

Update: got the carb readjusted. Advancing the cam gave more vacuum at idle and made the pilot circuit run richer. It also made a noticeable increase in power down low and in the midrange. Peak power seems about the same, but that could just be an illusion since it has more power down low. She defin...

I checked the cam with my degree wheel. Specs are updated in the original post. I found out the cam installed "straight up" left me with the intake lobe centerline at 112 degrees. Looks like the cam had no built-in advance (with 112 degree lobe separation), which would explain the lack of ...

I know that a fully build 2.5 can push 200HP and 185 ft/lbs. Clifford Performance has all kinds of stuff for them and even a bunch of stuff that they don't list on their site. The bottom end can handle a lot of abuse and while the stock heads flow pretty well (not great), I would definately port an...
