Aluminum rock sliders? Or in our world of wheeling - "tree sliders". http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g295/localfiend/jeep/rocksliders-alum_zps520c25a1.jpg I don't know what the above aluminum is, but it welds nicely with 4043 rod. The coolant tank for my welder (it's not actually oil) an...

Yeah, get that all squared away first. If they can come up with a way to not pay you they will.

I have a 2001 TJ t-case sitting in the barn w/ around 85k miles on it, should bolt right up. $125 if you want it.

Dunno how the insurance thing works, but they should be able to bolt it on for you. 1 bolt for linkage, 6 nuts holding it to the transmission.

As far as I know you can't get it locally. Maybe one of the paint stores could get it. Pricing depends on color: http://www.monstaliner.com/monstaliner_pricing.htm $145 for the 1 gallon kit which will do a TJ tub plus the cost of the tint. ETA: http://www.monstaliner.com/promo-j-103P.htm

Haha. I guess if the hardtop is going to stay on it might be nice. But if the top is coming off, it'll turn sticky again in short order.

Yup. Got the MTR's ordered. I think I would have been fine with either the KM2's or the MTR's. It will be interesting to see how they live up to the hype.

Thanks for all the input guys!

Looks like the Goodyear's aren't hard to get at the moment. Discount Tire can get me a set in a couple days, and their price is the best so far. Think that's probably what I'm going to go with.

I'll second what Dave said, on off-road guy like Bryan would probably be your best bet if all the insurance stuff works out. He'll make sure everything is welded up right or better. My family has used Cronk Automotive over by Fred Meyer in Richland in the past with good results. They're good people.

There's a cooper tire a couple miles from my house. Price on 4 STT's is $1205. Might research them a bit, but if I'm not buying IROK's a super soft compound doesn't sound as worth it. They're checking prices and availability for KM2's and MTR's. Prices will probably be better in tri-cities though, I...

Which coopers are you guys talking about?

Oh, and on the KM2's are they not giving anyone bead problems like the older version was in the cold?

Thanks for the info guys. Unfortunately I just looked at the prices.

Irok's are double the cost of a set of MTR's, which is out of my budget range. Didn't think they were that much more.

36" iroks fit well on 8" wheels. If you want something a bit smaller and more square ironically 37" iroks fit the bill. As completely silly as it is, the 37's are closer to 35 x13's. You talking about Bias Ply or Radials? I'm looking at this chart: http://www.intercotire.com/tires.ph...

Love my iroks!!! But would not recommend them for any street use. They wouldn't last long. I don't plan on running my TV on the street much anymore, probably just the occasional drive or trip to the trail and back. Irok's would be sweet, but I don't think they make a tire that would fit my wheels (...

So, I need new tires. My AT's probably have another 15k in them, but the tread is shallow enough I know I'm going to have some issues on the trail. Don't have the money to upgrade the Dana 30 so I'll be staying with 35x12.5x15R's. MT/R's with Kevlar seem to be on sale most everywhere. I know a lot o...

Why did this get moved? It happened less than a week ago? Thread was moved as a decision was made in an earlier meeting to keep called runs and other runs in separate locations. Largely to keep better track of candidate runs. No disrespect was intended, we were just a bit lazy and didn't fully impl...

I'm surprised you found a transmission. They're a little hard to come by for that year. I swapped in an AW4 in mine when I couldn't find one for decent money. what mods are needed to do that? Not too difficult, though there's a bunch of wiring involved. http://www.peakputters.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...

I have a guy who does good work here in Mattawa. Done quite a few projects for my family and for the orchard. Probably gonna have him put in some foundations for me when I get to that point. Lowell's Cornerstone Construction. No idea if they do work as far as tri-cities, but it shouldn't hurt to ask.

Yup. $250. Should work well if I don't drive like an idiot. If it breaks I'll get another one with upgraded parts from a twin turbo supra, then I won't need to worry about it.
