Re: TOTRv2.0 - Moab Thanksgiving 2016

5 trails, 2 natonal parks, approximately 24 hours in low range, zero mechanical failure and only minor operator error.

Well, I guess I did have one spring pop out and Marc had a tiny electrical gremlin...but no bigs.

More to follow for sure.

Re: Air locker

Yup, back when I had a auto locker front/"spool" (welded) rear. That's EXACTLY the reason I put an air locker in the rear axle. I used to run open front/welded rear, but found myself in the ditch bank all the time. The front ditch side tire would start falling in then slip and all the pow...

Wanted: 31s 30s or 235/75 for 15" wheels

For the boy's XJ. Prefer that they are already on 5x4.5 wheels. 32s would work too, I would just do some trimming.

Re: Chuck needed tire rotation

Colorado netted a tiny bit of damage. I dropped the tranny on a rock in the parking lot at Wheeler Lake. Dumb! Dented the pan and started a leak. Also, the radiator had been weeping since the day I got it. So, I took the opportunity to upgrade!! New tranny pan, added an auxiliary tranny cooleŕ, and ...

Re: MHJC 2016 All-4-Fun

My $.02: Nice report Toby! We rolled out on Thursday morning. I was in the LJ following Lori and Jess in Jess' new to her Mini Cooper. We arrived in Ogden just in time for IN N Out burger and a good night's sleep before heading off through Wyoming. In Rock Springs, we had lunch at a place we Yelped....

Re: MHJC 2016 All-4-Fun

It sucks that I accidentally erased the video coming up Red Cone. It is truly amazing. The overall scenery factor is off the charts. The wheeling is great as well but no so much that I had a concern of tearing stuff up too bad to drive home. I think it would be really fun to take five or six rigs an...

Re: Bunny v2.0

Danny accidentally bought some 33x10.50r15 BFGs. They worked fine and he went everywhere everyone else did. Of course, his Jeep weighs next to nothing and. . .well. . .he's Danny. :D Honestly, I think they would be fine. You are the engineer but it seems like diameter has more to do with aired down ...

If your springs are relatively soft and flexy, the difference is night and day. If you have stiff lift springs, you can't cure lumber wagon. . .

Re: Chuck needed tire rotation

Prepping for a big trip to Colorado so the LJ needed a few things. Amazon got the nod and I set off to applying the goods. Namely, adjustable upper control arms and spacers to level the front and some slideRs for the rockers/steps for wifey. Here is the result image-20160717_175438.jpg image-2016071...

It is pretty cool! It will be nice to have a place in town that you can actually get stuff at the last minute.
I bought some door straps.
