What kind of mirrors are on the doors? Are they the cheap plastic ones, or the decent A-frame jobbies that some Rangers and the F-series of that era typcially ran?

Just for the record 2.9l's don't blow head gaskets. They crack heads. :quoi I put head gaskets in an '88 Ranger 2.9L v6 at about 90k miles, and proceeded to drive it to nearly 200k throughout high school and college before selling it to buy a brand new '99 Ranger... http://i264.photobucket.com/albu...

Rubicon specific brake lines? I don't think so... Possible, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe they are calling it Rubi specific because it's D44/disc and not D35/drum? Regardless, I am 99.9% positive you could take that brake line off the housing, go to your FLAPS (Friendly Local Auto...

That's a good point - aluminum is not as forgiving as steel in this sort of application. That said, if you're loading it incorrectly, well, then you're doing it wrong

Peak Putter (notice the singular) Father’s Day Run Report 2010 This ended up being more of a camping trip than a wheeling trip, but that’s perfectly fine with us. Any time spent in the mountains is to be considered a win… Anyhow, since no one from the club could make it, I invited a buddy of ...

If, however, you are like me and looking good from 10 feet is perfectly acceptable, head over to the parts house and pick up a couple spray cans of Dupli-Color. They have c...

Seen lots of things cause this sort of issue over the years... Check the easy stuff first: coolant level, mixture, radiator cap gasket, anything covering the radiator or an excessive amount of bent-over fins, stuff like that. Then you need to look into coolant flow issues: plugged radiator, eroded b...
