WTB: dana 25/27/30

Yes, I'm in search of a D25/27 front axle with 5.38 gears.
or a power lock carriers, or even just and open carrier.

and after thinking, a D30 would work too, probably even better.

This would be for a CJ.

I have parts for a D30. I have an open carrier for a D30 for 3.73 and up gears.

Thanks but I'm looking for a bolt in, its kind of an interm Jeep.
The problem is someone welded the D25 and D41 that are in the Jeep.

Got one if you're still interested... Closed knuckle (of course :lol: ) D25, 5.38's, 9" brakes that need servicing, and relatively new hubs, all straight off my '47. Let me know and we'll work something out.
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

I ended up breaking the rear (welded 41) so I'd need a matched set now.
As of now I have a set of matched 4.27s.

Well... I happen to have the matching D41, but it is still slung under the back of the rig waiting to be swapped for the D44 sitting outside my shop. It has a Lock-Rite in it but is otherwise bone stock. What kind of timeframe are you working with here?

Well the rear is going in tonight and maybe the front.
Guess I'll see how I like the 4.27s and go from there. The biggest issue I'm running into is the Jeep has a M22 muncie car 4sp, this has a crappy 1st gear for wheeling.

Will keep your parts in mind.

I suppose that depends on what trans you are used to, as the T90A that typically accompanied a D25/D41 combo vehicle only had a 2.79:1 first gear, and that M22 has a 2.20:1 so it's really not that much different. You will surely notice the change from 5.38 to 4.27 though :lol:
