Man, what a flashback! My cousin, Vern, and I learned to drive in one of these old critters. Our Grandad would let us run it around the Brookings ranch after work was done in the summer. It was a dark burgandy color, and had 16" wheels, which I believe are what this should have on it to be correct. If I had the $$...

The wheels on Pappy's Jeep didn't have the hub cap ring, just smooth drop centers. Those look like Ford almost...

Yup, a million memories. I learned to drive in a 1951 Willy's Jeep Overland Station Wagon. Three speed, and a 4-banger engine. On a nice calm day, heading down-hill on the hiway outside of Potlatch, ID heading to Moscow, ID, I could just about get to 55 in that buggy. LOL Old vacuum windshield wipers, push on the gas pedal, and no working wipers. But I loved that old rig and often wonder what ever happened to it. It was a brown-bronze sorta color. Spent many an hour on the highway in that thing heading back and forth between Coeur 'd Alene Idaho and Moscow. Yup, was fun to look at those pictures of Clarence.

Yeah, I'm around one of these old crocks right now. Oh wait, I just read the thread title, not been around a Willys truck, so much.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
