Steel Rods/Rebar

Steel rod/rebar? I'm looking for some steel rods to be used in self extraction. I'm thinking 3 rods 30-36" long to make a tripod anchor to pull against...
Where do I find such rod materials Home depot? Will they cut them to my length specs?

Home Depot, Lowes ect should all carry it and they can cut it for you.
You know you can just bury your spare tire if if comes to that point though.

Lance - do you have a sketch or anything of your idea? Rebar, by design, bends extremely easily and is in no way capable of withstanding the forces involved in even a light vehicular extraction... I'm not saying it can't be configured to do so, but at the same time I can't help but think there must be a better option.

Get a pull pal!
Mostly because I want someone else to buy one first so I can see how well they work.

They work super! At least from our experience in the snow. About a 70% chance of success in the white stuff, which is pretty good considering the alternative.

I picked up three 3/4 inch rods at Home Depot for $4.85 each, should work for now, love to have a pull pal and a trailer to carry it.. LOL!

I think a Pull Pal folds up the size of a Hi-Lift. I'd have one, but Lurch and Danny are already giving me too much grief for the gear I carry.
