I've got a new set of SBC center drop block hugger headers if any of you may have a need for them...$75.00

I may be interested. I want a pair of headers for the SBC in my J-truck. I'll have to take a look in the engine bay tonight though to see if I can make them work.

Dale, they're basically to replace ramhorn manifolds. If you have rear drop manifolds, they may not work.

Yeah, Ram Horns are what I have - and I was hoping the headers would just drop in. Unfortunately I don't think they'll be easy to fit.



There's really not much I can do without moving the motormounts, and coming up with some custom brackets for the alternator.

Did some research, and it turns out that Ram horns already do really well for this application.

The headers you have would be a really good upgrade for someone with standard manifolds though. Sounds like they're usually easy to drop into almost anything, even as replacements for rear exit manifolds.

I think proper length sleeves and bolts would cure the alt. issue. Doesn't look that hard to my rookie eye...And those old manifolds do work pretty good.

Yeah, the alternator won't be too bad so long as the headers themselves don't hit it.

I don't know what to do about the motor mount... I suppose it can be moved later on when I go to replace the rusted out exhaust.

It's too tempting. If I can't make them work, I can put them up for sale on craigslist.

The alternator bracket is a non issue. There are a million and two companies out there that make the correct bracket. I bet if I dug long enough in my old man's shop I'd find two of them.

Yeah, with more googling it looks like that won't be a hard fix.

The motor mount on the driver side will be more annoying (the passenger side has a couple inches). I suppose I'll just have to see what I can find online, as I think it's going to need some beefing up if the mounts aren't inline.

Meh, if I keep adding stuff to move I might actually have to do what you suggested with the springs.... This is never getting out of the garage.....

If you don't take them, I'll take a look at my setup and see if I can use them. I'd love to get some better flowing stuff in my camaro.
