Looking for a pair of wide track Dana 44's from a Cherokee Chief or J-series pickup.
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

Just picked up the father-son project vehicle: 1978 Jeep J10. The entire drivetrain was repurposed in a YJ, so I'm hunting replacements to at least make it a roller while we start collecting the rest of the drivetrain.

Full-size Chevy will be easier to find and should bolt in to the spring pads, well most of the parts were Chevy and it might be a direct bolt in for a 70's vintage. At least the front.

The problem with that is the Chevy front axle is spring over, which opens a huge can of worms I'm not interested in addressing on this project. I haven't looked one over really closely, but the spring pad at the pumpkin would probably be a no-go in an SUA configuration.

I may have something. Have a D44 front and matching D60 rear from a '74 J20.

The front has all the steering and brakes but the shock mounts have been removed. I also started to set it up for spring over but the spring perches (new Ruffstuff) are just tacked on so would be simple enough to move them back to SUA.

The rear is lacking the drum brake set up as I was planning to swap to discs but haven't gotten that far. Its also stripped clean and set up for SOA. Again perches are tacked so can go either way with it. The pumpkin is slightly offset to the right, came that way from the J20.

I have been on the fence with these now that I am putting a diesel in my project. Thinking of going with a Dana 60 front and 14b rear.

I'd like to get $600 for the pair including the new spring perches. If you wanted to take a look shoot me a PM and I'll give you my phone number.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind depending on how the search goes!
