What my rig got for Christmas...

After smacking my Jeeps right rear corner on a tree, I decided its time for some armor back there. I bought these from Rokmen.com. I plan on getting them Linex'd along with my rockers already on the Jeep.

More pics to follow.

I think you are going to be happy with them. Granted, I have not 'tested' mine yet... sure thought I would on some of the tight trails on the FYBR. When you get closer to putting them on, let me know, I might have a tip or hint or two to make it go easier. If the timing is right I could even lend a hand.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Figured I'd get them Linex'd first, then put them on. I know the instructions say to fit them first but I know that Linex stuff is tough and isn't gonna get ruined by putting the corners on.

Lee, should I get both sides of each corner linex'd or just the outside?

After reading your thread on your corner install I'll probably take you up on helping me get these on.

Mine are primered and painted inside and out. I do not know how much texture Line-X has. I'd think you'd want to prep the inside of them, primer, and paint them (even with Krylon) before having the outside shot with Line-X.
Mine were painted before fitment. I would not worry about having them shot before drilling the holes.

Thanks. The shipping sticker will be a major PITA to get off the corner. I think I'll prep them and then paint with POR 15 inside and out and then get the outsides of the corners shot with Linex.

Yep, getting those shipping stickers off was a pain. I think I used a goodly amount of Brake clean, careful use of a razor blade, and then a palm sander to clean up the rest and the few nicks they had from shipping. Then I cleaned them up with TSP and a dust cloth.
Make sure to paint the tailgate spacers too. I recomend against painting the stainless steal hardware. I do not know what your thoughts are on that.

Good thought on painting the tailgate spacers. Definitely not painting the stainless steel hardware.

I'll have to get some TSP. I have everything else to clean them up.

Yeah they're the blemished ones which were 25 bucks cheaper I think but they don't look blemished at all to me. Even if they are Linex won't show that.

Yeah, I think 'shipping' turned mine into blems. I'd have bought blems if that was an option. Everyone I talk to says their blems look great. Might be a good marketing ploy. They charge you less for 'blems' and then ship straight off the shelf. :mdr
