84 s-10 blazer 4x4 5 speed into 203 4 speed SFA currently the 3/4 ton 12 bolt is almost complete. Looking for local source for a braided brake lines. I'm using the stock s-10 brake line to the "T" then braided to the wheels ? Is this okay ?? I need to make up some length as the full size axles are of course wider...

Thoughts anyone ??

Are the stock lines to the tee long enough for any extra travel you may gain?

im pretty sure that a s-10 master has a much smaller bore than the 3/4 ton front calipers as well as rear wheel cylenders.. dependin on the the line size id look at i think chevette brakelines are super long for the front and then i run a 87 chevy 1 ton rear line with enough length

hey i have a pair of braided break lines that use adapters to fit the caliper, you can buy the adapters from baxter.. and the break lines that i have are brand new if you want them

I'm still trying to figure out what is a 3/4 ton 12 bolt....

Go to any parts store and grab some 3/16" steel line long enough to reach from the 1 to the wheel cylinder just like stock. No reason to risk snagging a braided line on the trail and losing the brakes.

It hasn't gone sideways yet, your rig is still the subject of discussion.

Now are you going to answer my questions so I or others can help you or not?

a axle that came from a 3/4 ton truck....lol

So it came out of a light duty 3/4 ton so it is a standard issue 6 lug 12 bolt. There is no difference between it and one that came out of a 1/2 ton. They both are weak.

No its an 8 lug rear end that came from a 3/4 ton 4x4 from 66'...... and i have the matching Dana 44 front with 3.73 gears and 8 lug rims ~

NOW, as far as the 94 ford f-250 leaf packs being fiberglass one pc. i'm assuming they are going to flex well !

I dont know how to attach pics here otherwise I'd post 'em !

Well, I guess they're 8 lugs from google searching. :)

I stand corrected on the 8 lug shafts but that's the only difference I can find with that axle. You want a 8 lug HO72? 4.56's and welded diff worth about $25 in scrap I'll let it go for a bottle of jager.

Old school 14 bolt. Drop out 3rd style. You can swap the side gears and axle shafts out of a later 14 and have one bad mama jama axle.

Yea it is an eaton axle of the hotchkis design. There were a few different models, the one I have is an HO72.
