Tranmission for the CJ
Yep, found a true wide ratio CJ t18. Picked it up tonight. I pulled the whole mess out for a few reasons; general clean up and paint, swapping the water pump, valve cover and possibly head from my old motor, fixing my header leak once and for all, re-working the exhaust, possibly fixing my rear shackle geometry. It is sooo nice to work on the motor out of the jeep, and work on the front end with no front clip or motor.

Don... You must be my dad's lost son. He has two of those dissembled things in his garage because they needed a little work.
Have you considered installing an OME gas tank and re-gaining your back seat? You may want to camp on the trail sometime. If so, you can't count on a Toyota guy to be around to pack your stuff.

I don't Text (at least not very well), I eat Blackberrys, and I only Twitter after sex...

That's a great idea! I'll give ya $20 towards another tank so I can use that cell in the race truck.
