I went out to hover and now when I hold at a steady rpm or high rpms it sortof patters? I can feel that its not getting all the power. It was doing this after wheeling at juniper about 3 months ago before I replaced the wheel bearings. It was fine until I went to hover this weekend. Any ideas?

It feels like no power then power, no power then power, really fast. When I rev it up it is way more noticeable. It isn't smooth. I thought it might be moisture in my dist cap but its been 4 days since I took it out

If it was fuel injected I'd say TPS, but carbonated, I'd say vacuum leak.

If you were playing in the water pop the dist cap and see if it's wet.

The only vacuum line I have is the vacuum advance. Ill pop the cap off tomorrow after work. I figured it would be fine after this long so I didn't check lol

Do you still have the factory Carter BBD carb? If so, that's AN issue. Not saying it is the only one, but it is one. . .

Motocraft? Wouldn't have been my suggestion. We do Rochester 2Gs on ours. . .until the advent of fuel injection anyway.

It is possible I have water in my tank. I played in the pond thing at hover and I think my tank might have a little hole in the top. Is there a way to tell if there's water in my tank? Yeah yarns right tossed the carter. It was a pos. The Rochester is working great thanks for the good advice last year

Pour some heet in the tank or some good old rubbing alcohol in there to remove the water.
