most carrier bearings do slide off they are not pressed on in toyotas, some are but not required

here is a spreader you could copy this one or just buy it 150 bucks split between a few people that have difs that require this wouldnt be bad as apposed to the 400 dollar plus ones

definatly could be lack of preload issue without it and new bearings (easier to do with used as they have the newness worn off)
