I'm not the kind to search for hours... I spent some time yesterday searching KPR, Spokane, Portland, Yakima, and Seattle. Could not find any... :(

Wheels prepped and ready for welding this morning! :)

You snooze... CL is time bomb, you either jump when you see it or blow up and it's gone...

Building a capable off roader is easy, building a street legal one that you can wheel and then drive daily is the challenge...

When I did mine I put a thin coat of urethane sealer over the weld to help keep everything sealed up. Make sure it's dry before you mount the tire or you'll never get them back off.

Am I the only one who LOVES the idea of adding a massive amount of unbalanced weight to a front axle, and driver, that clearly are NOT up to the task?! Where is my popcorn bucket...
Yep, I've wheeled one of those, too...

You don't currently own a JK so your opinion doesn't matter.

I made my anti coning rings out of 5/8x1/8" flat bar welded on it's side bent around the inner edge.

Worked flawlessly on every set I built. I also drilled and tapped the wheel for quick air down valves since it would take crazy long to air down the 44's.

Did they hold pressure overnight?

And. . .one piece of very solid advice: Never, ever, under any circumstances should you spin a tire with that much weight hanging off of them. I know this from first hand experience with my Stazworks wheels and 35x14.50 PBRs. . .and a Dana 30. KER POW> > >

Funny how everyone makes comments on deep gears about how small the pinion is, when it isnt the pinion teeth that usually fail.

My ring gear didnt look nearly THAT bad when it failed.

Small ring gears just dont have the mechanical advantage to hold up to the torque needed to turn large tires when under heavy load. Options: lighten load, smaller tires, or larger ring gear.

Or pick at least two of the three. 8)

Thanks to Bryan I can now drive BONECRUSHER at speeds above 30 MPH. He built a bracket and re installed my steering stabilizer and gave me some used sway bar links. I was also able to balance the wheels pretty good last weekend at work. She drives like a dream now!

Very busy with Christmas right around the corner. I'll start a new thread this weekend or when I have time but here are a few glamour shots. 2010 JKU Mountain edition (glorified Sport). 6" lift 37" Falken AT's, custom Poison Spyder tire carrier, front bumper with SmittyBuilt winch, SmittyBuilt XRC skinny fenders, 50" LED. It's a nice rig.

Long story short... I went to Puyallup to get myself a new Jeep Rubicon. The Orange one was advertised as a Rubicon and was the one I went there to buy. Got there and saw it wasnt and was about to turn around and come home but Iulia said that she really liked it and that I should buy it for her and take over her Rubicon.

So, I went to Puyallup for a Rubicon and ended up getting one... Iulia doesnt wheel that much and is really excited about having a new Jeep.
