storage unit build

Postby 79chevy39.5's » Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:05 pm

well i had quite the collection of Toyota parts collecting in my garage and needed someplace to store them

a friend of mine wanted a lift kit for his 91 Toyota dd rig and steve had a 3.0 parts truck that he gots some bits off so he dropped it off this weekend while i was in seattle
Image
so first think i did was pulled the ifs lift

then started cutting

you can see where the shackle is its under the front side of the body mount using factory spring length this is without a motor ect so i plan for the shackle to gain some angle
Image

this is where im at now need to get some ubolts for the front end
plans are currently to use my 4.3 turbo 350 and toy case

1 what are you doing with that 22r we were talking about and 2 I'm going to part out my 84 x cab so no cutting required.

Kind of stressful to see that truck again :) I'll swing by Saturday if you're around to get some of those parts out of your way. I'll call first.

Upon closer inspection we need to trade some parts. You've got chrome door handles and a passenger chrome mirror and I have the matching drivers door that has a vent window rather than the full glass. I'm parting out the 4x x cab so pretty much whatever you want is there.

We can make that work. The handles are simple and I'll have the pair of doors with good glass and matching locks with keys. I've got a few grills and a box that parts won't fall through unlike the one on there now.

If your mirror is like the onr on there now we're golden. I need the plastic gasket type piece to go under my rare as hens teeth chrome power mirrors.

got the drivetrain put together engine trans and tcase
Image
started putting in the truck as a complete unit to get an idea of how everything will fit. most people say that the manifolds in factory form wont fit, but from the looks of things i can run them with a modified stock s10 ypipe
Image
got everything in and partialy mocked up, i will be removing the seat and the carpet probably soon so i can cut the floor out and get everything high and tight
