Need assistance please

Postby Zach ogle » Sun Aug 25, 2013 6:24 pm

Hello,
Its been awhile. I have a few problems that i could use advice on. Trashy might be able to help on this one. my 86 toy's tail lights and dash lights went out and im trying to chase the problem down. I checked all my fuses and there all good. My head lights and break lights and signals all work. Just not the tail/ dash lights don't. Also my heater doesn't work. I get plenty of air flow just not hot. I check my hoses that come in and out and there the same temp. so should i try to back flush or what?

Thanks Zach

Sounds like the combo switch on the column died or the relay for the markers could have puked.

As for the heater a back flush would be a good idea.

It was a relay problem. I'll let zach explain it though.

but heater is still a problemo. I back flushed the header core today i ran the hose to it for a couple of minutes, than i went for a 10 minute or so drive. Felt warm but not hot like it used to be. but i cant tell if it was the same temp as outside or a little warmer. Any advice would be helpful.

I bet if you kept those big rubber donuts on the down side it would drive better, IMHO At least that generally seems to work for me...LOL Nice Avatar!
