Years of weather and sun exposure have turned the plastic mirror housings an awful yellow with hints of grey. This is quite common. I see it all the time, and it bugs me.
So, out of complete boredom, I fixed them today.
A touch of OCD, a little bit of painters tape, some fine grit sandpaper, and a few coats of Krylon Fusion plastic paint yielded some pretty good results. One allen head bolt is all it takes to remove them.
I did not get any pics of the pack of angry wasps that came boiling out of the drivers mirror as I took it off.
I hate those things.
Before
After
Well, that's all the fun I get to have today. Back to yard work.
