I would run a adjustable regulator that you can adjust while in the drive seat. Lowering the pressure can help get a going that has had too much fuel go through un metered

The best off road carb I've found is lower gears. That's where I'd put my money. What cures carb problems on an off camber, bouncey slow hill climb is 500 additional RPM without the added speed.

I haven't had the chance to get a vacuum gauge on it yet.
I've adjusted the idle mixture screw a bit, runs good once it's warmed up.
But I don't know if it's not drawing enough vacuum when it's cold, but it really is having an issue starting in the morning. It turns over and tries and then will just spin, I have to pump the gas a bit, pray and stick my tongue out and finally it'll catch. Then run great on the way to work.

I still have some adjusting to do must self, however it turns out that I'm just not old enough to know how to start a carburated motor!
