Is installing new bolts considered bolt on?
Skid for the front, because from what I've heard thicker diff covers don't clear the steering. For the rear diff, the Riddler is getting the nod (I hope it clears my gas tank.

Me going to the Rubicon is unlikely this year (as mentioned in a different thread), but the Jeep is still getting prepped for it, so when I'm ready for it the Jeep will be too.

Just pulled the trigger on a Bestop frameless soft top. Amazon makes it too easy!

What is better than an LJ on fresh 35s and a new fast back soft top?
The short answer is boobs. But short of that this makes me pretty excited.

I clearly missed the "different thread"... Why aren't you going this year?? Here I was all happy thinking we'd have a nice contingent of LJ's to bump and scrape along in the path of the storied station wagons of 2013

Short answer is health. I'd like to be 100% for that trip (at least 92%). And my medical bills are still eating into my funds. I think I'll keep my wheeling local this year. Kaner, Liberty, Rimrock anyone? I plan on all of the above.

I don't mean to clog up your thread, but this may actually lead to decent tech...
Isn't there a mod to divert the amperage load for the fog lights through a relay or something? I seem to recall that when I had my '03 Rubi, there was a common issue with over-amping the factory stalk mounted fog light switch, but I don't remember the details of the issue or the fix...

Trick is to us the factory relay to 'trigger' an aftermarket relay to power the lights thru the added relay back to the battery. Operation is still the same, but light output is increased. And, best bonus, all that amperage isn't going thru the stalk. I have a handful of these relays with harnesses... yours for the asking. I'm also a fan of replacing the factory fogs with KC Slimlines... but I'm a bolt on guy.

I'm not a real strong electrical guy, but I think I get what your laying down... Essentially you'd take what is the power lead from either/both of the existing fog lights, and use that as the trigger for a new relay? And then power from the new relay would replace existing power to the fog lights (because that has become the trigger)? I'm crosseyed now, but I think I get it...
