Cool modification. I can imagine a concerned father sitting in that chair waiting in the dark for his daughter to get home from a date; one hand holding the switch and the other holding a (insert item).

You could make a pretty cool desk or something out of the pickup grill.

Chair 3 begins with Scumby's green grill and a peace of tube donated by Brian.

I'm going a little different route with this one. The seat will sit a little lower and be padded. I'll set the back up a little higher so the arm rests serve the sitter better. I set the seat pan at a 4-degree and the back at 12-degrees from the seat pan. The front and back legs are kicked out a bit to make it look stable.

Next, I learn to sew and make the seat. Ill set the final height of the back and arm rests once the seat height is set.

Prepped for paint... big caterpillar welds and all. Any suggestions for paint (i.e., color, flat, satin, etc..)?

Olive drab or camo? Flat.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.
