Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Where did you get the solenoid?

What did you do this mod for?

Mod not done, but the reason for doing it is to have power at the back of the Jeep for the 12 volt air compressor, inverter, tent trailer heater, etc., without opening the hood.

Solenoid is from Amazon. The 500 amp one is actually going to replace the 200 amp one used for the dual battery setup. The 200 amp solenoid will be the 'switch' for the rear power, so the terminals won't always be hot. The rear power will be fused / rated for 200 amps, so not for jump starting.

200 amp = $44.00
500 amp = $73.00

I have the 200A version on my dual battery setup for my Bronco. I am considering options for a dual battery setup for my Mountaineer, that is why I asked.

I am curious about how you are going to connect accessories to the terminals you have there. At first glance they do not seem to be a screw on stud type of thing from the top side.

They are terminals like battery top posts. Accessories will attach with clamps.
