To be continued
So I still have a few more items to go to add to this conversion
Install corvette valve covers, need trimming for install
My brother give me an 8.8 Ford rear axle with disk brakes. Need to install full spool, 4:88 gears, alloy axles and adjustable proportioning valve. Truss axle housing and reinstall traction bar assembly.
Sell built D35 currently installed
Install AC system, a must here in Las Vegas
Install 2500watt Alpine stereo system and dual 12" sub system sitting in garage. Was removed from rig earlier in build to install roll bar and seats
Line-X entire interior tub
Reinstall on board air system and tank that was removed.
Reinstall train air horns
Purchase hardtop and full doors, help keep the AC in.
Install rock lights and rear LED reverse lights sitting in garage
Reinstall CB and Portable Ham radio and antennas, also sitting in garage
Build custom steel rear tool box
Add 2 gas tank holders to rear tire rack
Install LED headlights
Procure D44 front axle, truss it, install electric locker, alloy axles and gears. This will be only once the D30 self destructs. Running bet on this time line
Still researching 37" tires to upgrade the 33's. Don't know what I want to run yet. Also need beadlocks to go with these.
More to come

We went thru this whole harness support bar / compression thing in the last post. It will get fixed when the cage comes back out to get powder coated the zombie green and the Line-X will go in as well.
Noted it's on the list

Lurch wrote:If it makes you feel any better the shop you had it at up here had a fire. I guess a customers car caught fire during the night.
I did hear. The owner wrote me, they literary missed the fire by 2 hrs as they were working late that night in the shop.
The transmission they built only lasted 15 miles and I had to have it replaced by a trans shop here in vegas and he covered it under warranty.
They also did not install the TPS module from the donor and I had to buy the US Shift quick 4 controller / programmer to make the trans function. Which they also had to reimburse me for.
I guess they moved to a temporary building till February, when the original shop will be all fixed.
I'm glad I took the jeep out of the shop when I did as that next weekend they had the fire and the jeep would have been right next to it and who know how much damage it would have received.
I was mad for all the delays but I would not wish that on them The owner is a stand up guy and has been very helpful with me being out of state on warranty issues.

The harness bar height is part of it, but you're also asking your harness bar to be an integral structural cage member by tying it to the overhead bar and what appears to be the B pillar... What's missing is the node. All those fancy looking braces and kickers don't do you any good unless they make one (a node that is).

Paul,
Wish you where here to test drive this. Your the only one who would appreciate the 4cyl conversion and new power no more slow lane on the freeway
500 HP compared to the 112 HP is a ton of fun. It's also sweet not having to deal with the 5 speed manual any more.I miss having the auto trans off road.
Thanks again for your help in getting it running!!

My harness bar would have to have the 4 points that come in as an "X" meet in the middle instead of the gap I have between them now. That would form a node. It would technically be stronger if all the welds meet in the center to make a perfect X

Racer here...
If you are ever in a crash that would require a 4 pt harness, you will either die or be paralyzed by a compression fracture to your spine. If you run anything other than stock belts, use race rules unless you understand the physics of a crash. EVEN then, they are a great guideline.
Only trying to help. Have seen it happen. NOT gonna debate.
