This is what happens when you jump a Cherokee 50 feet!!
Or so the kid claimed ..... my cousin Bob bought this Cherokee from a kid who said he jumped it three times, the third time he jumped it 50 feet and broke the front end. Control arms are bent, both front fenders are crumpled up. After we ripped the carpet out of the back today we discovered the U bolts on the rear end came so far up they tore holes through the floor.
The price was right and my cousin has been looking for a trail rig so this will be it. He has most the essential parts gathered up already.. lockers for front and rear, gears, wheels, 33" tires, suspension, etc... So this will be the start of his project xj thread.
Recently Bob moved in right next door to me.
Today we had a nice little yard sale, made some money and got rid of some junk..
This afternoon we figured what the hell it's only 100 degrees out, lets get the grinder out and get started on this!!
With a little fitting the Comanche tailgate really looks nice:
Took the rear end out from under my parts rig, it's a D35 with 4.10's. He has a Detroit EZ locker for it:
