With the recent moisture it only made sense to capitalize on it and head for elevation. Mercifully, the choking dust experienced the weekend prior had been completely eradicated, and we even found some snow :shock:

The wind damage from spring storms was pretty incredible... There were so many uprooted and broken trees it was just mind boggling:

We pushed all the way through the 60-ish mile route in about 4 hours, taking our time and stopping often to let dogs do what dogs do:

On this particular day, what ended up being the best viewpoint for the trip was near the Southern-end of the route, looking back to the North-West. It's difficult to see in the crummy photo, but hidden in the grey abyss of horizon you could see Mt. Adams and Mt. Rainier:

Overall a great trip and although the weather wasn't amazing for views, it was exactly what we needed for dust mitigation and I'll take that trade any day 8)
