Well... having been on the FS-1302 side and at Louie Way Gap many many times, and seeing tracks toward each other, it did make sense as a viable thing. And, when you look at the map of the area, there is a line connecting them that appears to look just like any number of other trails in the area... However, trust me when I say this, it is
not a thing
The arrow on the map indicates approximately where we got stopped by the uber sketchy sidehill, and after walking about 50 yards further it turns to a horse trail. The red circled area is the mythical gap trail, which turns out to be this horse trail, if even that exists. It clearly had not been travelled in a long while, and I have no idea what the other side looks like, so sometime soon I'd like to come at it from FS-1302 and see what it looks like coming the other way...
