Having never been on Sedge Ridge before, it was neat to see but I can say with relative confidence I have no reason to go back... it's just a rough, cobbled up trail that dead ends with so-so views to the North:
From here, we hot footed it due West back to the Red Saddle intersection, and took the trail that continues to head West that eventually leads out to a very nice overlook:
We scarfed down a sammich in the shade, and pondered our situation as what we were seeing on the map did not exactly line up with what we were seeing in the dirt, particularly as it relates to access signage onto the Yakama Reservation and the potential for hauling across the canyon over to the Tree Phones campground
From here, instead of following the Northfork road we stayed due North on the ridgeline and ended up at an amazing vista that I've never been to before:
Backtracking just a bit, we eventually picked our way back down to the Northfork road. Suffice it say there were some sketchy sections that we honestly had no business travelling on with our ATVs, but we managed to not die and eventually made our way back down to the Snowpark for the trip home. We logged almost 60 miles in a little over 4 hours, with a good 30 minutes for lunch, and while I'm not ready to toss the Jeep keys in the trash it was a nice change of pace
