Rats lined up at the Jim Sprick gate shortly before noon Friday. There was a gatekeeper this year keeping us out until 12:00.
We were still able to claim our usual Putter/Rat PUAM spot back by the river. Camp setup and fun began as the rest of the crews arrived. We took inventory of cooking devices and started making a plan for cooking duties on Sunday. Saturday the group headed up Clover Springs Road to pick up trash and then find a trail to run. We found small bits of trash here and there on the way up to a lookout. Not much, which was good to see. Someone should chime in on which trail we took from there. 697? I can't remember. A 4dr JKUR and my JLUR followed the short Jeeps without a problem...almost. As the the trail got tighter and tighter, we came across a small murky muddy spot in the trail. But, it was just big enough to hide whatever sliced my 37" sidewall wide open. Whoooosh! A sound that could be heard by everyone in front of, and behind me. I'll post the pics I have. Please post yours.
