Every year, we gather the company troops and do a teambuilding excursion somewhere at elevation. The past several years it's been down in the Ahatnum area and centered around ATV's and SxS's. This year, nobody was bringing an ATV and I don't own a SxS, so I made the command decision to move the party a couple ridges North and we landed in the Long Meadow camping area just outside Cliffdell, WA. I had spent the previous weekend scouting a couple of connector trails to keep things legal as we traversed the trail system with the SxS's, and we all sort of nerded out sharing my maps using onX
. With me leading the way in the trusty Mullet, we ran sections of the Naches Trail, Kaner, Lily Pond, Milk Lake Trail, Manastash Ridge, and Funny/Moon Rocks. All told we put on more than 100-miles in 4wd over 3 days, and had an absolute blast doing so. Here are some of the highlights:
