Fall Colors Tour 15Oct2023

Fall wheeling is probably my favorite as the weather is typically cool and crisp, the dust is minimal, and the views are some of the best what with all of the vibrant colors. With an itch to see the tamarack show in person, our small group met up at the Maverik for an 0700-ish launch and headed East to run the Skyline trail between Tollgate and Dayton. Here are some of the highlights:
We stopped for lunch at the monument because the trail up to Table Mountain was gated off again? Not sure what's goin on there but it's a shame to think this is not vehicular accessible anymore, as there are plenty of folks who enjoy the views that cannot simply make that hike
After lunch we made the rest of the trip down the hill, and aired back up when we hit pavement at the entrance to Bluewood ski area:
It had been a stunning cruise through the forest, and as always it beats the couch
