he was originally from the east coast, maryland to be exact. jined the US Coast Guard in 1984 and retired in 2004. spent nearly 14 years in kodiak AK, 3 in sitka AK and 3 in cape may NJ. told his wife, stacey (from upstate new york), you followed me through out my career now i shall follow you and yours.
first move after retirement was to anchorage, ak. he worked a year at pepsi bottling group and year at ft richardson army base power plant. she worked for ft richardson as well and the army corps of engineers as a human resources specialist. total time in anchorage for her was 4 years for him just under 3 years.
it got too cold for her love of running in the winter so she began looking for employment in a warmer climate. somewhere she wouldn't have to run in negative 15*F temps. enter dept of energy. she now works at the federal building as an hr specialist.
he is still unemployed (read; semi-retired)
the family (stace and I) wheeling rig is a half cabbed 95 wrangler sahara runnning a stock 6, 5 speed, sye'd 231. 1.5" re spring over, re shackle reversal, m.o.r.e. hi steer, d-30 front w/warn 5.5" conversion , warn shafts, arb and 4.56's. 'manche rear d-44 w/ford explorer discs, currie shafts, arb, skyjacker 5th link and 4.56's. front has an 8274 attached to dual yellow top optimas fed by a 160A alternator. york oba with a 5 lb co2 bottle as a resevoir. arb snorkel t keep the water/dust out. all sitting on 36x12.5x15 tsl radials with 15x7.5 aluminum ford outlaw II rims.
project rig is a cj-10a. other neat stuff inludes half of an '89 wrangler and a '65 m416 trailer.
