New Guy from Kennewick

Postby 92RangerKrazy » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:09 pm

Well, looks like I'm the new guy to the forum. Glad to finally find a forum based out of the Tri Cities..hopefully can meet up with some people. But I got a 92 Ranger that I'm starting to tink with and making it my own. It's come a long way since I bought it but also still a lot to do. I enjoy fabbing and wrenching on it, it's a fun hobby. I'm also a member of TheRangerStation.com anyone with a Ranger, Bronco II or Explorer should definately check them out.

92 Ford Ranger
2.9L with A4LD tranny
Manual hubs and manual t-case
Swapped in two bucket seats with harnesses
On 31s with black steelies

Plans in the near future:
Lift with 63 inch Chevy leaves in the rear and some sort of kit for up front. Looking to only clear 33s.

New motor and tranny eventually, too.

On to the pics of what I've done so far.

When I bought it:

Got bored over the winter, so I made this:

Welcome to the forum. That thing looks really familar. Does it have on board air built with a york compressor? Who did you pick it up from?

No it doesn't have onboard air (yet). I can't remember the name of the guy who I bought it from but he lives over by the fairgrounds in Kennewick. It was red when I bought it from him.

Welcome. :hi My nephew has a Ranger like yours. I took him on his first wheeling adventure last month. I think he is hooked. I don't think his little Ranger is going to be in stock form for much longer!!

Yeah the front bumper sticks out more than I thought it would. I made it a bit beefy because I still drive it some on the streets and I want the truck to survive a hit, if need be. I'm going to be making a new one, hopefully soon, that will have the winch recessed into the grill.

The rear winch that I have on it is an ATV winch (3,000 lb Harbot Freight winch). But the front is a Smittybilt XRC-8 (8,000 lb).
