it wants to crawl on something
it wants to crawl on something
I'm Evan I really love taking the jeep out when i can. I dislike mud cuz when its there i just have to swerve for it. i really do prefer crawling on things from rocks, boulders, fallen trees, difficult mole hills, or staggering mountains. I drive a Tj Named Rhulain green I literally got my lift on the night before last.a 3 in sky jacker makes a world of difference on the look but so dose my fenders Im in the process of making.
in this pic i have one fender done and one in my garage being finished.

Building a capable off roader is easy, building a street legal one that you can wheel and then drive daily is the challenge...

Im in the USMC and when im out i drive thees i was really surprised at how well they handled and with care you really could crawl over anything. Having selectable lockers, 46in mitchlin tires and armor oh ya. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc ... 7111_n.jpg

Ok now what I did was made a new line. Hit the image button, pasted the link after [img] than clicked the image button again. Should look like this
Working on your rig is like a really great date: you start out expecting it to be something simple and straightforward; four hours later you're laying under her, panting and cursing, and things are a lot more complicated than you ever wanted.

Kind of the same deal except you have to re-size the photo to the dimensions specified on this site. And, you do not use the img tags.
At least that's how I do it using photobucket. There could be an easier method, but I seem to be good at doing things the hard way.

sure i loved the look of the metal cloak fender but theres no way i could pay the price. so i made my own in a way. I really like square tube so thats what i used i made every thing my self out of used metal that i put the time in to clean up. os far i have only had to pay for the lights $15. the square tube $40, and the yj hood latch $13. thats for both fenders and the flairs. so a total of 68 bucks, sure thats not including the cans of paint.
i compleatly replaced my inner fender as well. so i when i pay off my jeep i can get some money back out of the stock fender. with out cutting it up. Also my fenders allow me to fit 35 inch tires with no lift, and with my 3 in lift i can fit 37 in tires. sadly i only have 33x12.5 right now. but i havent up graded my axles yet. so play smart till i gear up or axle and gear up. what id like to do is go to dana 60 and 4.88 or 5:13 gears ands slip yoke eliminator. big plans high hopes.
I think the question is, "Why is the fender flair up not out?
And on the upgrades, I think you are right, but the 60 is overkill. For now go play on the 33s and figure out what you need.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Personally, if you leave it as is, I think you're a ticket looking to happen, on or off road...Best be learning the fender laws we have to deal with.
