Back in the tri cities :)

Postby DannyBoyFromWashington » Tue Mar 20, 2012 10:01 am

Hello, My name is Daniel. I just recently bought an 89 Toy pickup. It is the 6cyl version which I have been told is not the popular one but oh well. It only has 20k miles on it since full rebuild so I hope she holds up well. Nothin special done to it yet, just got done goin through it to make sure all the basics are sound. It is on 31x10.5s and I am dying to get it out to the juniper dunes or someplace near to see how she handles. I will try to get a pic posted later ( not like just about everyone knows what an 89 Toyota pickup looks like :P ).

Will the Tacoma 3.4 just bolt in where the 3.0 was without any cutting or modding/ changing tranny or anything?

Yes and that I'd the only good thing about the 3.slow. It's easy to replace with a good engine.

Please use this section and thread for newbie intros. And, most importantly, please post up a pick of your rig.

The flag discussion has been moved to its proper place in Land and Legislation issues. Constructive discussion is very welcome there. Grumpy will be glad to have the company.
Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

That's your one and only warning. Next time you'll get a stern warning with a finger wagged in your face.

We'll get the whole issue fingered out, rest assured of that. :D
