Looking to learn and have fun

Postby kermit » Wed Aug 10, 2016 6:12 pm

Hello everyone! I've had my daily driven 2004 TJ Willy's Edition for a little over a year now, but I've only taken it out a couple of times. I didn't grow up wheeling so I'll be the first to admit that I don't really know what I'm doing when the pavement ends. I'd love to go wheeling with a group and learn what I and my rig are capable of! So glad to see that there's a friendly four wheeling club in the Tri-Cities.

:hi Welcome. Check the upcoming events section. The annual Pick up a Mountain event is coming up next month in the Naches Trails area. Lots of fun.

Would love to see pics of your TJ Willys.

Welcome. There are couple of easy wheeling and camping opportunities coming up in September. Good times.

Thanks everyone! If I'm not mistaken, meetings are the first Wednesday of the month, at Kimo's? Or does the location change?

Here's a picture of my Jeep, it's got a 2.5" OME lift, 1.25" JKS body lift, a few other miscellaneous goodies, currently living on cheapo 31" all terrains. It'll stay on the 31s until I regear, or preferably swap the rear axle with a D44 or an 8.8". The 3.07 gears in the D35 definitely won't cut it with the 33s I'd like to be running. Other items on the list: SYE and a new rear driveshaft, possibly adjustable control arms, and most importantly to mount the M8000 I bought a couple weeks ago.

I do have a D35 with 4.10 gears and a set of 4.10 gears for the D30 up front that came with the Jeep, but I don't think I want to pay to regear the front and still end up with a gear ratio I won't ultimately be happy with.

Nice looking Jeep.
The meeting is usually first Wednesday of the month. But the location varies. Haven't figured out where we are having the September meeting yet. Keep an eye on the top of the page for the next lication.
