Virtue Flats

Postby rjjff » Mon Mar 02, 2009 9:37 pm

We met up at the staging area around 1000 am to air down. Toby, Jose, David, Ed, Cory, Laura and I headed out for the hills at Virtue Flats. There is a lot of land and some very difficult trails. The suspension definitely got a workout on some of the trails. We hit an interesting rock quarry and did some rock crawling. This is where David needed some winching assistance by Ed after breaking the driver side hub. Once David made it up the rock quarry everyone was headed back down. Cory, who waited it out down below all of a sudden realized he had a broken U-joint. Fortunately, Cory and David could make it back to the staging area. After they both jumped in another rig, we started out again this time at some less difficult trails but ending on a more difficult trail. At least it was sunny most of the day but the howling wind kept everyone on the cold side.

Good pics! It was a fun day. The wind was a little cold but......A cold day wheeling is always better than a warm day working. ;)

I do have a bunch of pics and some videos in the link in my sig.

Oh and BTW, it is Virtue Flat............no "s" on Flat. :)
