International 4X4 Go Topless Day

International 4X4 Go Topless Day
In honor of International Go Topless Day my nephew and I decided to run the gamut of things we can do with a Jeep. (Well, touched on a few.) Thursday before the weekend we went to St. Joe’s School in Kennewick where he and my girls are students and used my winch to pull up some trees. Sorry, no pics, we had to get out of there before they caught us.
He’s doing a report on the History of Jeep for his 8th grade thesis, so, with the top off, Saturday he, my niece (goddaughter), and my brother-in-law went to, where else, Roberto’s in Kennewick for breakfast burritos. I think it is important that he understand the entire Jeep experience. From there we took the back gravel roads through south Kennewick and Finley out to Hover. (There were people shooting out there, by the way, on the land that I believe is now closed, but it did not seem posted.) We played around down by the river and in and out of the irrigation run-off stream. He’s never driven stick, so I decided to give him a lesson. (My check engine light is finally off.) We took some poser pics and I think he got some pretty cool video that I will be sure to post up when I get my hands on it. We did not do any of the hill climbs south of the park, because we were alone and I really did not know where we would be venturing onto the KGH land, but we had some fun playing on the little rutted climbs up from the irrigation stream. Here are my pics…

This is my Goddaughter and nephew trying to keep warm in the back while we head down the highway Saturday morning. (It was nice and warm up front. )

This is video from my waterproof cam. It doesn't do video very well and is quite pixilated, but it is a fun shot. We set the cam in a stream and drove over it with the Jeep.

Okay, we're a little crazy to have a Duramax for a daily driver. But if we go off our meds, we might wind up in a Prius.

Cool. We drove around with the top off the CJ a little. Did not go far from home. Still fun though.

I had no idea I was getting this much rear stuff. Next time we head out to Hover I'm gonna disconnect the front and see how far I'm stuffing the tires into the front fender wells. 8)
