All Wheelers Off Road Club - Naches Newbie Run
November 3rd, 2007

On Saturday November 3rd, 2007 89 yota and I drove over Pyramid Pass and met up with two west side AWORC members (Icesis & Barbie) and a guest (Carmen) on NF70.

Here the east siders wait for the west siders.

We met on NF70 and found a place to air down.

Off to show the newbie wheelers some trails.
Image

We first ran Naches Pass Trail up to the cabin.
Image

This was the first time for the ladies in these two rigs to drive their own rig on the trail. Carmen in the Toy & Barbie in the TJ.
Image

We headed back down the way we came up to be easy on the newbies.

Here is 89 yota which is still kind of new to wheelin'.

And the newbie lady wheelers.

On the way down we ran into another group going up. I met a wheeler in a nice old Jeep that had seen the Tweety Jeep on the net. I beleive his name was Brad.

Here is the group coming out on the first cross road.

Turning on Pyramid Pass to run to the east side.

Turning onto Naches Pass Trail heading east.

The long bridge.

Barbie feelin' a little better about wheelin' the Barbie Jeep.

As we were parked here Brad's group caught up to us so we pulled over and let them pass.
Image

This was taken near FS1913 where we passed Brad's group taking a break.
Image

Next was onward to Ravens Roost where we were hoping for some snow.
We noticed a Whore 4x4 sign.
Image

Darn, no snow at Ravens Roost!
Image

Here we are back down near Crow Creek Campground.

The last stop was for air at Whistling Jacks.

We headed home our different ways from there. This was a fun run thanks to the people that came. The newbies all did well on the trail. No carnage (yet). We hope to get them to wheel with us again.
