All Wheelers Off Road Club - Mother's Day Run
at the Ahtanum State Forest
May 10th, 2008

On Saturday May 10th, 2008 most of us left the Ahtanum Sno-park and head up Whites Ridge Loop around 10:30 AM. I was riding shot gun in Test Dummy's XJ. ToyZuki and ToyEvy were running late. They were coming from Wenatchee.

It was not to far up we found snow.
Image

I think Scuba is the first to be stuck.
Image

Test Dummy pull him out.
Image

Scott did better than we thought he would since he had a heavy rig with open diffs.
Image

Icesis walk slow over the snow mound.
Image

The snow got real off camber on the North Slope of the Whites Ridge loop so we head back down. We got a hold of ToyZuki on the radio and they said they would meet us back at the sno-park.

Next we headed up the other end of the Whites Ridge Loop and onto the Whites Ridge Crest Trail.

Next was the hill climb.

Scott found a log under his rig.

ToyZuki found a stump under his.
Image

A little help from Icesis and Scuba's winches.
Image

Heading back down to the Mid Fork Road.
Image

Test Dummy got stuck on the Mid Fork Road. He was doing good breaking trail with those bald MT/Rs.
Image

Toyzuki pulled him out.
Image

Next we turned off to Tree Phones.
Image

We drove up to the upper Tree Phones parking lot for a picture.

Next we headed back down to the Sno-park to part ways.

This was a very fun run thanks to the people that came out.

Thanks for the pics and the report. I'm headed to ahtanum on Memorial, and it will be interesting to see how much the snow level drops in the next couple of weeks.

It is pretty much stock right now. He isn't sure if he is going to build it or a 4runner. He is parting out his built Toyota truck and will use the part on one or the other.

Found a group going to Milk Creek, but thanks. If plans change for unexpected reasons I'll keep my I eye out for the yellow XJ.

Right on!

We hope to get into Blue Lake that Saturday if the other rigs can make it.
With as much snow there is this year I am not even sure I can make it in from the bottom side. It will be fun trying.
