All Wheelers Off Road Club -
Naches Pass Run / Camping trip aka Wild Winger
July 18th-20th, 2008
On Saturday July 19th, 2008 around 10:30 AM we hit the Naches Pass Trail (4W684) with three XJs, Two Toyota Trucks and a FJ40.
Here is the first section of the trail.
This part keeps you moving your steering wheel.
A nice little hill climb is next.
The rigs waiting there turn for the climb.
Back down the hill.
This mud hole was blocked.
The trail around made most of us have to backup to get through. This was new wheelin' stuff for "99".
"99" made it through without adding a dent to the Tweety Jeep.
88sr5rollin1986 had a steering wheel problem.
He got the steering wheel back on where it worked.
4wheelingplus.com showing how to doing in a FJ40.
At FS1913 88sr5rollin1986 took his rig back to camp because of the steering wheel problem.
88sr5rollin1986 and his Co-pilot got a ride in Scuba's rig to see the rest of the trail.
BP-Tree (99's sister/copilot) starting crap with the Toyota guys for fun.
Here is another thing "99" never done on the trail.
"99" was afraid she was going to drive off the bridge.
We stopped at the top of a hill climb so 4wheelingplus.com's FJ40 could cool down.
This is when 89 yota's rig wouldn't start. Oh what a feeling!
Test Dummy helped 89 yota get his rig started and we were on our way.
We stopped at the top of the Naches Pass to get some pictures.
Here is 4wheelingplus.com and his Son.
Next stop was for lunch at the Pacific crest trail crossing.
On down the West side.
Some more cool stuff for "99" to get use to.
We pulled off here to let the people behind us pass.
On down the last part of the Naches Pass 4x4 Trail.
Here are two of my boys at the cliff.
Heading back over by NF70 to Pyramid Pass.
On FS1914 we jumped back on Naches Pass Trail to run it East.
We went back to camp and ate dinner.
After dinner we took Scuba's and my 99 XJ up Kaner (4W676) from the bottom.
We ran it until we found a big mud hole Scuba could not make it through with both lockers on.
Scuba finely gave up trying after I told him I wasn't driving in that crap.
Mud inside & out.
The next day Scuba headed home and we drove up to Ravens Roost.
This is at FS1921 & FS1902
Up on top at Ravens Roost.
A very nice view of Mt Rainier.
The Toyotas headed out for home. We head on down and decided to run Power Line.
The part of Power Line we ran wasn't bad. It beats running the road.
This was a very fun weekend thanks to all that came.
