SB 5129 - ORV Permits / Tabs
Posted: Sat Jan 31, 2009 1:12 pm
Our primary recreation sport in the PNW are licensed four wheel drive vehicles - however, there are members who also have ATV's and motorcycles in their families and to support that recreation - purchase the annual ORV use permit tags.
When time permits we try and forward information on that would also support those motorized communities, the following Senate Bill addresses just that.
Senate Bill 5129 its original/total content can be viewed at: http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/bil...Bills/5129.pdf . It has been referred to Committee on Natural Resources, Ocean and Recreation; Senators Jacobsen and Kline are the sponsors.
The bill is relating to licensing of off-road vehicles; and amending RCW 46.09.070; and providing an effective date.
The off road vehicle will be assigned a use permit number decal and tab; the use permit decal required by this section must be approximately four inches by seven inches in size and display the decal number in as large of font as may be accommodated on the decal. If approved - would take effect January 1, 2010.
This bill is scheduled for a public hearing before the Committee on January 29th at 10:00 a.m. in Olympia (Subject to change
